Old School: Heavy Anchor texts

In the past, using heavy anchor texts used to work, but in the last couple of years this hasn’t been the case and now Google has discounted these rankings. If you still want to do this then make sure that your links are in the footer and that they are internal, because this is the only way to get around this.

New School: Keyword Focused Pages

This is a very good way for you to boost your ranking. You need to make sure that you have a single page for every target you have because this is the best way for you to get results and targeting is a very precise art. On top of that, it contains a lot of technical science as well so you will want to maximise the capacity of every keyword you use. For this reason, you should always do your best to target your keywords individually because this is the easiest way for you to get started and it won’t compromise your site either.

The Victor

This weeks match up has new school SEO as the victor! New school is the definitive winner because the old school tactic not doesn't work anymore, but Google has penalized web designers for using this outdated technique. So as you can see, there are a couple of things you can do to try and make it easier on yourself in the future, just remember to always be up to date with Google's policies and updates!
